WISE WORDS FROM A: As I pushed a negative conversation, Andy suggested to not go down the rabbit hole because he was already there. I recognized Andy's point, and said outloud I'd try to use accomplishments to get out of it.
A, also in the room, said he would give me three:
"You don't like rabbit holes.
You don't actually have a rabbit hole.
You can't fit into a rabbit hole."
touché.
And I think he actually understood the irony in the situation.
May we all harness our inner A spirit animal.

NEED to Rewind!? Here's a summary: https://www.kitedreamcare.com/quarterly-challenge
After a long day in the sun followed too much screen time, thomas fell into a crazed overstimulated screen time mind warp. Thomas completely lost it while playing Forza Horizen 5 (or something like that.) The game promised him a free car if he made it to "the auto-show" in Mexico?! He couldn't find it. Even with asking Alexa. Crying and anger pursued, and I couldn't help him. He was in "the gap." Eventually, we acknowledged that in the last week, he received a day gaming computer, received a control and received this video game. The week prior he had none. He thought the world couldn't get any better one week ago. He actually thought this 2 hours earlier. But when the game pushed him into wanting something that wasn't really obtainable, he became obsessed and unhappy and forgot about all the great feelings leading up to this one event. Eventually he admitted that he was in the gap. And really understood the reasoning! WIN! Next time (tomorrow) we might be able to implement strategies to get out of the gap!!
